Alstom is a global player in the production of trams, metros and trains and related services. At our Ridderkerk location, new parts are made and maintenance and revision takes place on converters, control panels and traction devices. Without us, there would be no rolling stock... And without you no qualitative good parts! Because we need people like you to test our parts.

The four test engineers in Ridderkerk check and test electrical drives and control boxes. Does everything work as it should? There are detailed scripts and instructions waiting for you! You can get straight to work and join as a fifth team member.

You are a test engineer (power electronics) who can read test protocols well and who is also capable of setting up test set-ups. We have clear protocols and scripts in place and we keep track of exactly what we have done in SAP, so we can always trace and account for it. Who are you?

You have a background in electronics (mbo 4 with a lot of experience in a similar position) or you have completed a college education in this field. You are available for a minimum of 32 hours per week.

- experience with power electronics is an absolute must
- able to diagnose components and demonstrate defects
- experience with fork-lift truck
- experience with SAP

- you can communicate well and clearly

At our site in Ridderkerk, you immediately notice that you don't see any trains, trams or metros. The workplace is clean and generally quiet too. So you can concentrate well here. The domes in the roof let in daylight, making it pleasant to work. Every day, a healthy and extensive lunch is prepared in the canteen where you can have lunch for just 2 euros a day. Ridderkerk is near Rotterdam and easily accessible by car. As you start at 7.00 am, you won't be bothered by traffic jams. You will have your own tool cart, which no one else is allowed to touch. Good tools are used and safety is very important.
